Title:  Officer, Deposit & Remittance Operations - Maximum Term

Job Type:  Maximum Term - Full Time

Location: Sydney Australia | Reports to: Manager, Deposit & Remittance Operations

 

This is a maximum term contract position until March 2025. 

 

Purpose:

To process all Swift payments and support the Operations Department in processing daily transactions.

 

Core responsibilities of the role are:

  • Processing of Swift payments (MX and MT) for all products in accordance with market practice, internal requirements and within cutoff time
  • Complete all assigned duties in an accurate and timely manner
  • Co-ordinate with OPD for related transactions and issues
  • SWIFT message administration
  • Undertake cross training to provide effective support within other areas of OPD

Required experience, skills or qualifications:

  • Good understanding of transactional banking processing with past experience in similar role (e.g. Swift payments, settlement operations etc.)
  • Tertiary Qualification ( preferred but not essential )
  • Payment systems knowledge and experience e.g. Swift
  • Understanding of the local clearing systems e.g. HVCS, BECS and APCS ( preferred but not essential )
  • Computer literacy/PC skills e.g. MS Office applications
  • Well organised with high accuracy levels, attention to detail
  • Proactive and able to identify and resolve errors and discrepancies
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team
  • General administrative skills
